Just got your new Lemon Balm Seed Sprouting Kit and ready to start growing? Here’s what to do.
Start by filling the plastic grow pot with the provided potting mix.
Make a small hole with your finger in the center of the pot. Gently remove the seeds from their container and plant them ¼ inch below the surface of the soil. Water the soil until it is moist.
Place the grow pot in the ceramic planter and add the plant marker. Then place your Lemon Balm on a windowsill or in a bright spot so the seedlings get plenty of sunlight throughout the day.
Nurture your Lemon Balm and watch her grow!
A few tips:
- Your Lemon Balm seedlings will grow best if the soil is kept moist and at about 70 °F throughout the germination process.
- Be sure not to overwater.
- You can expect sprouts in about 2-4 weeks.
Transferring your Lemon Balm
Once your Lemon Balm sprouts you can transfer your seedlings. After the last frost of the season, the seedlings can be moved outside and replanted in a garden. Choose an area that is full of sun and has good drainage.
Harvesting your Lemon Balm
You can begin harvesting the stems and leaves of the lemon balm plant once they begin to appear and are fully developed. Simply snip off what is needed with clean scissors. Try not to harvest too many leaves from younger plants.
